Each pair of The Natural Dyeworks socks has been dyed by hand using natural plant extracts. This purple shade is achieved through small batch dyeing using logwood. The socks are knitted in Ireland using natural unbleached wool, from Irish Jacob sheep. 

The Natural Dyeworks is the home of natural dyer Ros Humphries and her Kent based garden studio. Ros works exclusively with natural non-toxic dyes, extracted from the plants gathered in her home garden, foraged from the surrounding countryside or from food waste collected from nearby cafes.

Please note these socks are made in very small batches so there may be slight variances in colour.

Material: 100% wool (There is a small amount of elastane used around the cuff).

Care: Hand wash in warm water with just a little eco detergent. Allow to dry naturally, away from heat. The intensity of this colour is much like indigo meaning for the first few wears and washes it is likely to run, but not lose its vibrancy.
