A juicy red onion that's easy to grow. Direct sow in sunny spot in early winter. Prep soil with compost/manure. Water well in November and December as bulbs develop, so they a develop into a crisp and juicy harvest of good size. And harvest when leaves flop over later summer.

Little Sun Seeds is based on Waiheke Island, and boasts a collection of organic seeds for the home gardener. Seed is sourced from across the North and South Island and packaged into envelopes with handwritten growing instructions.
