A traditional fisherman’s jumper in a Sherwood green. Made on the island of Guernsey by Le Tricoteur, who have been producing knitwear here for over half a century, each piece reflects a long-standing tradition of practical, considered design.
Knitted from tightly spun worsted wool, the structure is dense and durable, with classic ribbing at the shoulders and subtle side splits for ease. The wool’s long fibres naturally resist wind and water, offering warmth and protection from the elements.
Originally designed for life at sea, they feel just as at home in the garden. Warm, practical, and made for time spent outdoors.
Each jumper is hand-finished by skilled local knitters using traditional methods passed down through generations. Designed to be worn and re-worn, these guernseys are fully reversible and should be worn front to back and back to front to extend their life.
Made from 100% British worsted wool.
Sizing
The traditional guernsey is a unisex fit. We recommend sizing up by 2 inches from your usual chest measurement, or 4 inches for a more relaxed fit.
Care
Wool is naturally resilient and rarely needs frequent washing. Air between wears and spot clean where needed.
